Larry E. Furley, 68, of Wardensville, W.Va. passed away Thursday, August 4, 2016 at the Saint Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, Md.
Larry was born June 18, 1948 in Martinsburg, W.Va., the son of the late Elmer L. and Estella DeHaven Furley. He was a carpenter by trade, a 1966 graduate from Musselman High School and a member of the Church of the Brethren. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Larry married Edna C. Furley on February14, 1986 in Winchester, Va.
Surviving with his wife of 30 years are three daughters: Lula V. Myler of Hagerstown, MD; Shelia M. Brady of Bunker Hill, W.Va.; Shannon L. Spears of Big Pool, Md; two brothers: Charles W. Furley of Inwood, W.Va.; Elmer L. Furley, Jr. of Bunker Hill, W.Va.; three sisters: Helen Henry; Patricia Wright both of Inwood, W.Va.; Susan Barrett of Martinsburg, W.Va.; six grandchildren and his beloved dog: Sophie.
Funeral services will be held at the Loy-Giffin Funeral Home in Wardensville, W.Va. on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at 1:00 PM. Officiating will be will be Pastor David Twedt. Interment will follow in the Greenfield Cemetery near Wardensville.
