Helen Redmon, age 94 of Lee Street, Moorefield, W.Va. passed away Saturday afternoon, February 25, 2017 at the Grant Rehabilitation & Care Center in Petersburg, W.Va.. Born on June 11, 1922 in Fisher, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Ernest Robert Redmon and Betty Virginia (Clay) Redmon. She was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church of Moorefield, had retired from Hester’s Industries, worked many years at the Moorefield Examiner, was a past member of the Old Fields CEOS, enjoyed traveling and while attending the Wallace School in Moorefield in 1937 was a W.Va. Golden Horseshoe winner. She was preceded in death by an infant son, a son, six grandchildren, a brother and four sisters.
Surviving is a son, Jimmy & Winnie Redmon of Moorefield, W.Va.; four daughters, Sandra and Charles Tinker of Annapolis, Md., Betty Redmon, Anna Curry and Shirley Redmon all of Pittsburgh, Pa.; twelve grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, numerous great-great-grandchildren and a few great-great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington Street, with Rev. Dan Sterns officiating. Interment will follow at the Olivet Cemetery.
