Mabel Willingham Keplinger

Mabel (Willingham) Keplinger, age 99, of Moorefield, W.Va. passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the Grant Rehabilitation and Care Center in Petersburg, W.Va.

She was born October 17, 1917 in Housville, Va. and was a daughter of the late James Willingham and Mary (Dare) Willingham.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herman C. Keplinger in 1966; three brothers, Kenneth Willingham, Roland Willingham and Linwood Willingham; one sister, Nellie Larrick; three half-brothers, John Willingham, Jack Willingham and Lawrence Williams.

Mrs. Keplinger was a homemaker and previously employed by American Woodmark for 13 years. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Temple in Rig, W.Va.

Mabel is survived by her son, Harlan Keplinger and his wife, Elizabeth of Stephens City, Va.; her daughter, Carol Ann Kuykendall and her husband, Jack of Moorefield, W.Va.; nine grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; special friends, Pastor and Diane Snyder, Ruby and Bill Phillips and Mike and Kathy Snyder.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home with Pastors Charles C. Snyder and Steven P. Snyder officiating.

Interment followed in the Maysville Cemetery, Maysville, W.Va.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Calvary Baptist Temple Mission Fund, P.O. Box 783, Moorefield, W.Va. 26836.
