Wanda Mae Poland, 70, of Wardensville, W.Va., formerly of Keyser, WV, died Monday, March 20, 2017 at the Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Va.
Born on September 7, 1946 at Keyser, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Ezra P. and Clarice Louise (Rotruck) George. She also was preceded in death by her fiancee, Elburn S. (Bo) Kesner, Sr.; her son, Frederick M. Fink and two brothers, David P. George and Delmus (Roscoe) George.
Mrs. Poland was a loving homemaker, mother, grandmother and sister. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Keyser. She enjoyed baking and watching the birds at the bird feeders her son-in-law, J.D. erected for her. She loved watching all the animals on the farm and was an avid hunter, especially when it came to deer hunting.
Surviving are her daughter, Diane D. Pierce and husband J.D. of Wardensville; two brothers, Alonzo George and wife Robin of Headsville, W.Va. and Darrell George of Keyser; three sisters, Darlene Walker and husband Dan of Burlington, W.Va., Regana Fazenbaker of Keyser and Loretta Dewitt and husband Randy of Oakland, Md.; four grandchildren, Kenneth Timbrook and wife Linsey, Justin Timbrook, Nichole Timbrook and Dalton Pierce and two great-grandchildren, Alicia Gosnell and Wyatt Timbrook. Also surviving is a special friend, Clarence Ganoe of Romney, W.Va.
Funeral services were conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Burlington Chapel, on Friday, March 24, 2017 with Pastor Samuel Biser officiating.
