Thomas Edward Tom Parker

Thomas Edward Tom Parker, 68, of Wardensville, W.Va. died on Monday, April 3, 2017 at the Blue Ridge Hospice Inpatient Care Center.

Tom was born on March 2, 1949 in Albemarle County, Va., a son of the late Alvarado and Madge Virginia Broughman Parker. He delivered the Washington Post, USA Today for Harold Orndorff and worked for Valley Redi Mix in Winchester, Va. He was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Winchester, Va., attended the Crest Hill Community Church in Wardensville, W.Va.

Tom married Anna M. Vance Parker on December 19, 1970 in Winchester, Va.

Surviving with his wife of 46 years are three daughters: Shirley M. Swecker and DeAnn Y. Parker both of Wardensville, W.Va.; Angel V. Parker (Craig) of Stephens City, Va.; a brother: James W. Parker of Paris, Va.; and three grandchildren: Abbie N. Schellhammer, Vance R. Schellhammer and Jake S. Schellhammer.

A Celebration of Life was held in the Crest Hill Community Church in Wardensville, W.Va. on Sunday, April 9, 2017. Officiating was Pastors Milford & Carolyn Lyndaker, Jeff Barbour and Vernon Bray. Internment was private.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 W. Cork Street, Winchester, VA 22601 or Wardensville Vol. Rescue Squad, PO Box 2, Wardensville, WV 26851. Arrangements are by the Loy-Giffin Funeral Home in Wardensville, WV.
