Eva Marie (Hott) Scott, age 87, of Fisher, W.Va. passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Grant Rehabilitation and Care Center in Petersburg, W.Va.
She was born November 5, 1929 in Romney, W.Va. and was the daughter of the late Clarence Benjamin Hott and Vallie May (Poland) Hott.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. David L. Scott on May 16, 1998; three brothers, Bill Hott, Jerry Hott and Marley Hott; two sisters, Nadine Frye and Juanita Crock.
She and her husband, Rev. David Scott established Boot Hill Community Church on Durgon Run Road and pastored there for over 50 years.
Eva is survived by two sons, David L. Scott Jr. and wife Patricia “Beckee” of Dorcas, W.Va. and Joe Dan Scott and wife, Diana of Fisher, W.Va.; one daughter, Joyce L. Schetrom and husband Steve of Moorefield, W.Va.; five grandchildren, Shelly Scott, Christy Snyder, Steven Schetrom, Melanie Thorn and Collin Yates; eleven great grandchildren and one great-great grandson; two sisters, Alma Lear of Romney, W.Va. and Connie Corbin of Romney, W.Va. and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service were held Sunday, November 13, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home Chapel with grandson, Rev. Steven A. Schetrom II officiating. Interment followed in the Newhouse Cemetery, Rig, W.Va.
Arrangements are under direction of Schaeffer Funeral Home, Petersburg, W.Va.
